LeRoy Eims on the importance of Scripture memory: "I think two of the master strokes of the devil have been to convince people he doesn't exist, and that Scripture memory is only for children. He remembers the humility of defeat when Jesus Christ, who was tempted in all points like as we are, met him with the Word of God." (What Every Christian Should Know About Growing; p. 26-27)

Titus 1:2

Day 2 verse 2

a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,

Begin reviewing verse 1 first thing in the morning, see if you remember it from yesterday.

Move on to verse 2, take it phrase by phrase. Say verses 1 and 2 out loud, line by line, until you have them by heart. It doesn't matter if this takes 10 or 15 times, this is normal.

Today, throughout the day, these two verses are your focus.
Think about what the verse is saying. Chew on it in your mind. Ask questions: Who, what, where, when, why and how.
Where is my faith resting? On the hope of eternal life.
Who promised this? God
When? Before the beginning of time.
What attribute of God is mentioned? He does not lie.
Wow! How sure is your faith? As sure as God Himself.

Think about this all day long. Let the richness of this truth consume your thoughts.
