I forgot to post on Saturday, and Sunday was our typical review day, so hopefully you're solid on v1-10 and we can add on verse 11 today. It is Monday, so first review all the other Psalms we've learned before going on to today's verse.
Psalm 139:11
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,”
We cannot hide from God, not even in the darkest night - literally and figuratively.
Repeat today's wonderful truth over and over again and then add it on to the first 10 verses of this psalm. Look for moments to redeem throughout your day.
Please join us as we seek to know God by memorizing His Word in context. Convicted and inspired by Janet Pope's His Word in My Heart we are learning to redeem the time by including Scripture memory in our daily routines.
LeRoy Eims on the importance of Scripture memory: "I think two of the master strokes of the devil have been to convince people he doesn't exist, and that Scripture memory is only for children. He remembers the humility of defeat when Jesus Christ, who was tempted in all points like as we are, met him with the Word of God." (What Every Christian Should Know About Growing; p. 26-27)
Hi Tammy! I just stumbled on to your site and thought I'd say hi! I write music for scripture and share the sheet music and recordings as free downloads. I would love for you to visit me at www.scripturemelodies.com. Blessings to you! Melissa
