LeRoy Eims on the importance of Scripture memory: "I think two of the master strokes of the devil have been to convince people he doesn't exist, and that Scripture memory is only for children. He remembers the humility of defeat when Jesus Christ, who was tempted in all points like as we are, met him with the Word of God." (What Every Christian Should Know About Growing; p. 26-27)

Titus 2:8

Titus 2:8
...and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.

Wake up to a new day eager for more of God's truth. Go over your seven verses.

Can you see God's character in the things He commands for us?

Today's verse gives a why for the previous verse. Our reputation depends on our obedience.

But how can we obey if we don't know? That's why we're learning God's instructions.

Learn God's Word so that those who oppose you will have nothing bad to say.

Let this verse be a prayer to God to build in you an impeccable character and a sterling reputation so that God will be exalted by your life. He wants to honour that kind of prayer.

Say your verses over and over.

Find a kindred spirit to share what God is teaching you.

Give God your full attention at day's end. Thank Him that His Word shall not return void.
